Damascus, SANA – Head of the Russian Parliamentary delegation visiting Syria Sergey Gavrilov said the positions of Russia and Syria are identical concerning fighting terrorism.
In statements to journalists upon his arrival to Syria on Friday, Gavrilov stressed that Russia will continue supporting the Syrian state and people in the reconstruction phase and boosting the economy.
He highlighted that Moscow supports the Syrians in preserving their legitimacy, adding that the visit aims at bolstering the bilateral relations, increasing volume of humanitarian aid and discussing the Russian participation in the reconstruction process and enhancing and strengthening the Syrian economy.
The delegation comprises a number of senior Russian figures, including charities’ heads, clergymen and politicians.
