Moscow, SANA- Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Friday that the information received indicates that US and Britain in particular are supporting terrorist groups in northern Syria.
“Russia has information on this issue and would like to discuss this matter with all its partners, especially those participating in the“Astana format”to deliberate ways to cut off the financing terrorists,” RT quoted Lavrov as saying in an interview with American Journalist Tucker Carlson, in response to a question about who supports the terrorist groups that are launching attacks on Syrian regions.
Lavrov articulated that the information refers in particular to the Americans, the British and others, and some indicate that “Israel” has an interest in making the situation aggravate so that the Gaza does not remain under international attention.
He expressed his hope that the meetings scheduled to be held this week will help stabilize the situation in Syria.
