Damascus, SANA- Foreign and Expatriates Minister Bassam Sabbagh received a phone call from his Omani counterpart Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi to discuss latest developments on the Syrian arena, in light of the attacks launched by Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists and groups affiliated with it in northern Syria.
Sabbagh stressed that these groups are designated as terrorists by the UN Security Council and supported by foreign terrorists had received orders from their masters and supporters to launch these attacks on Aleppo and Idleb with the aim of undermining security and stability in Syria and the region and serving foreign agendas.
Sabbagh pointed out determination of Syria’s leadership, army and people, to confront these terrorist groups and restore the sovereignty of the state over all the country territories.
Al Busaidi, for his part, expressed Oman’s solidarity with Syria, and the emphasis on the importance of its sovereignty and unity.
He indicated the necessity of restoring security and stability to Syria and preventing the expansion of the scope of conflicts.
