Al-Jaish and Damascus teams win first places in Republic Freestyle and Greco-Roman Wrestling Championship

Damascus, SANA – Youths of different ages and weights participated in the Republic Freestyle and Greco-Roman Wrestling Championship, which wrapped up recently.

Al-Jaish Team won the first place in freestyle wrestling, followed by Quneitra Team and Damascus Team.

Elias Ismael, Mohammad Hashas, Abdullah al-Haeyk and Anas Kabboul were ranked first in the 55 kg, 74 kg, 84 kg and 96 kg categories, respectively.

Youssef al-Sbaai from Homs won the first place in the 50 kg category.

Abdul-Karim Hassan from Damascus won the title of the 60 kg category competition.

Moawieh Saleh from Quneitra was ranked first in the 66 kg category.

Abdul-Rahman al-Abras from Lattakia came first in the 120 kg category.

In the Greco-Roman wrestling competitions, Damascus Team won the first place, ahead of
al-Jaish Team and Daraa Team.

Mohammad Anas al-Mnajjed, Mohammad Baraa al-Tayyan and Bilal al-Homsi came first in the 55 kg, 60 kg and 120 kg categories.

Alaa al-Krad from Daraa won the first place in the 50 kg category.

Mehi-Eddin Mardini from al-Jaish won the first place in the 66 kg category.

Mohammad Hennawi from Aleppo was first in the 74 kg category.

Haitham al-Shafei from al-Jaish won the first place in the 84 kg category.

Ahmad Bakri from al-Jaish came first in the 96 kg category.
