Six new breaches of the cessation of hostilities agreement observed

Lattakia, SANA- The Hmeimim-based Russian Coordination Center monitoring the cessation of hostilities agreement announced that over the past 24 hours, the terrorist groups breached the agreement 6 new times in the provinces of Damascus and Lattakia.

The center added in a statement that terrorists of Jabhat al-Nusra and the ISIS attacked with mortar shells a number of areas in Damascus such as Housh al-Fara, Housh Nasri, Housh Khrabou, Harasta, Douma and Ibn al-Walid Hospital.

In Aleppo province, terrorists attacked with rocket and mortar shells and the directed anti-tank rockets the neighborhoods of al-Ansari and al-Khalidyieh and al-Castello shopping center.

In Daraa, terrorists shelled the village of Khirbet Ghazaleh and archeological sites in Ataman village.

In Hama province, terrorists attacked with rocket and mortar shells Mhardeh village and the airport.

The center added that terrorists of the so-called “Jaish al-Islam” shelled a number of towns in Damascus countryside such as Housh Dawwara, Douma, al-Nashabieh and Harasta and they shelled Joubar neighborhood in Damascus.

Terrorist groups linked to the so-called “Ahrar al-Sham” also targeted one of the areas in Lattakia province.

Nine new areas in Lattakia and Homs joined the reconciliation in Syria as the number of the towns and areas which have joined the cessation of hostilities agreement reached 563 while the number of the armed groups which announced adherence to the agreement’s principles is still 69.

The cessation of hostilities agreement doesn’t include ISIS, Jabhat al-Nusra or other groups designated as terrorist organizations by the UN Security Council.
