Damascus, SANA – Higher Education Minister Atef Naddaf discussed on Sunday with China’s Ambassador to Syria Qi Qianjin developing cultural and scientific cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting, the Minister affirmed the importance of boosting the executive program of the cultural agreement between Syria and China through increasing the number of scholarships, exchanging the scientific expertise, opening a Chinese language learning center at the University of Damascus, supporting the graduates of the National Center for Distinguished Students, and offering scholarships for them.
In turn, the Ambassador stressed the importance of enhancing relations between the two countries in all sectors and establishing scientific cooperation between Syrian and Chinese universities, voicing hope that the crisis in Syria will be resolved as soon as possible and that security and stability will return to the country.
