China, Egypt condemn Israeli aggression on Iranian consulate in Damascus

Beijing and Cairo, SANA- China condemned the Israeli aggression on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, stressing the necessity of respecting Syria’s sovereignty and the sanctity of diplomatic institutions.

“China condemns this attack… It is highly unacceptable to violate the security of diplomatic institutions, and Syria’s sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity must be respected”, AFP quoted Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin as saying.

In turn, Egypt condemned the Israeli aggression on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, expressing its full solidarity with Syria.

“We categorically reject the attack on diplomatic facilities under any justification, and we stand in solidarity with our sister Syria in respecting its sovereignty, territorial integrity and its brotherly people”, Ahmed Abu Zeid, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said through his account on X website.
