Syrians Naow and Sleem crowned champions in Tehran Tennis Championship

Tehran, SANA- Members of the Syrian U-18 tennis national team Hazem Naow and Rabee Sleem were crowned champions in the doubles competitions held in the framework of Tehran International Tennis Championship.

Winning the title, came after Naow and Sleem beat the Emirati-Bahraini team in the doubles semifinals 6-4 and 7-5 and after winning a match with the Norwegian-Pakistani team in the quarterfinals.

In a statement to SANA, Coach of the tennis national team Wasim Zainieh said that by winning the title, Naow and Sleem obtained 20 points in the classifications of the Tennis International Federation “ITF” for U-18 category.

Zainieh added that after winning the title, Naow improved his international ranking which is currently the 748th and Sleem will enter the international classification after beating the Iranian doubles.
