Damascus Countryside, SANA – A variety of children-oriented social and entertainment activities will be held in Deir Attiyeh within an event that kicked off on Saturday marking the International Children’s Day.
The activities will be held at the cultural centers and sports clubs in the cities of Deir Attiyeh, al-Nabak, Yabroud and Qarrah in Damascus Countryside and will include outdoor art and environment workshops.
As implied by the title of the event “I Draw My Homeland with Colors”, children will decorate squares, stairs, walls and parks with paintings and flowers.
There will be also child’s play, artistic and folklore competitions and activities, including calligraphy, drawing and photography, in addition to holding exhibitions for children’s artistic and artifact products and performing theatrical shows.
Children’s Day is an annual event aimed at honoring children globally, and is observed on various days in many places around the world.
