Amman, SANA- Syria’s men basketball team on Saturday lost a match with its Palestinian counterpart 73/79 in the framework of the West Asian Basketball Association (WABA) Championship which is being currently held in the Jordanian capital of Amman.
The Championship had started on Saturday by two matches in which the Jordanian team beat the Palestinian team 92/76 and the Lebanese team beat the Iraqi team 85/67.
Three of the teams participating in the Championship will be qualified for ASIAN Basketball Championship to be held in China next September along with the Iranian team which had been qualified for the Championship as it was the champion of the past Championship.
Today, the Syrian team will play a match with its Lebanese counterpart and on Monday it will play a match with the Iraqi team while on Tuesday it will play a match with the Jordanian team that will be its final match in the Championship.
