German delegation visits Damascus Hospital to assess health situation

Damascus, SANA- A German delegation headed by Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development, Svenja Schulze visited Damascus Hospital (al-Mujtahid Hospital) on Wednesday to inspect the health situation and identify the needs.

In a press statement, Minister Schulze noted that German support will include assistance in building the health system in Syria, through establishing partnerships between health facilities and training cadres with German expertise, with the aim of rehabilitating the health sector.

Minister Schulze congratulated the Syrian people on the great achievement they made by overthrowing the dictatorial regime in Syria.

With regard to the sanctions imposed on Syria, Minister Schulze said that Germany hopes to ease those sanctions, so that the health and education sector could be rebuilt and the necessary assistance can be provided to the Syrian people.
