Tehran, SANA-Iran and Egypt have reiterated their firm and supportive stance towards Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
IRNA news agency reported that Iranian Foreign Minister ,Abbas Araghchi ,and Egyptian Foreign Minister ,Badr Abdelatty ,discussed in a phone call Wednesday evening the developments in the situation in the region, focusing on the developments in northern Syria, as Araghchi reiterated Iran’s firm policy of supporting Syria, its government, army and people, in combating terrorist groups.
Araghchi has warned that the resurgence of terrorism in Syria and its spread in the region will pose a serious threat to peace, stability and security in the region.
Araghchi also underlined that it is imperative to counter the serious threat of terrorism through diplomatic efforts and consultations among influential regional players.
In turn, Abdelattyreiterated his country’s position and policy based on supporting Syria’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and legal institutions.
