Tunisia awards Syrian elite artist Sabah Fakhri Order of Cultural Merit of Excellent Degree

Tunisia, SANA- Tunisian Ministry of Culture and Heritage Preservation has awarded Syrian elite singer Sabah Fakhri Order of Cultural Merit of Excellent Degree at the conclusion of Carthage Musical Days.

Fakhri, who attended Carthage Festival as a guest of honor, expressed pride for being honored during the Festival, saying “This reminds me of the time when I was awarded Tunisia Order of Cultural Merit by the late Tunisian President Habib Bourguiba in 1975.”

Tunisian News Agency said that upon the directives of Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi, Tunisian Minister of Culture Latifa Lakhdhar granted artist Fakhri the Order of Merit during a party held at the Ministry’s headquarters in presence of Tunisian Minister of Justice Mohammed Saleh Bin Isa and a number of the Arab and Tunisian journalists and intellectuals.

Carthage Festival was held from March 14 to 21, and it was attended by a number of music stars from Tunisia and many Arab countries.
