Moscow, SANA- Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov has discussed with Syrian Ambassador to Russia, Dr. Bashar al-Jaafari, developments of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and the situation in Syria.
“During the discussions between Bogdanov and al-Jaafari, views were exchanged on developments in the Middle East, with a focus on the situation in and around Syria, especially in light of the continued escalation of confrontations in the Gaza Strip.” Novosti news agency quoted the Russian Foreign Ministry as saying in a statement on Wednesday.
The statement added that the two sides also discussed issues of common concern to Russian-Syrian relations, including the upcoming communications.
