Damascus, SANA – Minister of Administrative Development Dr. Hassan al-Nouri stressed the necessity of work on setting a new administrative frame with high quality to deliver the state’s message and services to citizens.
Dr. al-Nouri pointed out, during activities of the 2-day 18th National Seminar for Quality which was held by the Syrian Scientific Society for Quality (SSSQ) in cooperation with the Ministries of Administrative Development and Industry, that his ministry together with ministry of higher education seek to accomplish a draft project of the national reliability of administrative leadership programs, establish centers for higher administrative leadership at the Ministry, and create administrative efficiency program in managing institutions in a number of ministries, like Ministries of Health, Education and Industry.
Minister al-Nouri called upon all establishments and organizations of the civil society to cooperate in building human capacities in institutions through training and dealing with outputs that match with the citizens’ needs and the requirements of the upcoming stage based on quality criteria.
For his part, Deputy Chairman of the SSSQ Dr. Wasfi al-Halabi stressed the importance of the Symposium in outlining the features of the institutional change in light of the national policy.
Dr. al-Halabi asserted that the SSSQ is seeking to spread the culture of quality, developing its concepts and exchanging expertise.
Director of Research Department at the Ministry of Education Dr. Sabit Suleiman elaborated the importance of quality in rebuilding the educational institutions, reviewed the ministry’s experience in treating children in light of the crisis in Syria.
Dr. Mustafa al-Aghbar, from the National Program for Supporting Quality’s infrastructure, touched upon the requirements of change in the performance and work of the national institutions.
The seminar will also discuss managing Change as inevitability for reconstruction, managing the continuity of works to guarantee the success of reconstruction in addition to reviewing a number of national experiences in this regard.
