Daraa, SANA- In the framework of local reconciliations, 600 persons had their legal status settled in Ghabaghib village in the northern countryside of Daraa, after they pledged not to take part in any act that harms the security of the homeland and its citizens.
SANA’s reporter in Daraa said that 280 armed persons were among those who had their legal status settled after they turned themselves in and handed over their weapons to the authorities.
The reporter said that the weapons included 60 rifles, 15 anti-tank mines, and 5 explosive devices.
During recent months, a number of local reconciliations took place in many villages and towns in the province of Daraa, after which the legal status of hundreds of persons were settled and dozens of gunmen turned themselves in and handed over their weapons to the authorities.
