Russia distributes draft resolution at Security Council on cessation of combat activities in Syria

New York, SANA – Russia’s Permanent Representative at the UN Vitaly Churkin said that Russia has distributed a draft resolution on the cessation of combat activities to be approved by the Security Council.

Churkin said at a press conference in New York on Friday that a summarized draft resolution was distributed for the Security Council on Thursday night, and he intends to which he intends to submit to the Security Council members during their meeting on Friday.

He said that Russia hopes for the voting to take place on Saturday morning and that it will be approved unanimously, asserting that Russia welcomes the participation of all those who want to become involved in serious dialogue regarding the crisis in Syria.
