The People’s Assembly approves two bills on driver license fees and plant quarantine fines

Damascus, SANA – The People’s Assembly approved in its session on Thursday, chaired by Speaker Hadiyeh Abbas, two bills on collecting fees for driver licenses and plant quarantine fines.

Minister of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform Eng. Ahmad al-Qadiri affirmed that amending the items on fines and penalties of law no.26 for 2007 aims at preventing violations and protecting the plant resources from any cross-border damage.

For his part, Interior Minister Mohammad al-Shaar pointed out that the Ministry is currently in the process of finishing contracting work for a new project on issuance of automated tamper-proof driver licenses.
