WFP aid arrives to Qamishli International Airport

Hasaka, SANA-Two aircrafts loaded with humanitarian aid provided by the World Food Program (WFP) arrived on Saturday to Qamishli International Airport through the air lift that carries aid from Damascus International Airport.

Head of the WFP bureau in Qamishli Afraa Nouh told SANA reporter that the aid includes 1350 food packages, 850 bags of bulgur, 750 bags of rice and 300 packages of vegetable oil, adding that additional amounts of aid are expected to arrive to the province that will include 16,500 food packages, 20 tons of dry yeast and 5000 emergency packages.

The food packages which have been sent by the WFP since July 9th are targeting displaced families.

The WFP plan aims at delivering 30000 food packages through the air lift.
