Hasaka receives new relief and food aid

Hasaka, SANA-The 36th plane of the humanitarian airlift arrived on Monday to Qamishli International Airport, provided by the World Food Program (WFP).

The airlift started in July 9th and it is transporting food and relief aid to Hasaka province. It is aimed at delivering 30000 food packages.

In a relevant context, the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) branch in Hasaka received 2000 food packages delivered by WFP to be distributed among the needy people in the province.

Gharbi al-Mardoud, head of the SARC branch, said in a statement to SANA that the received amounts will be distributed to the people who are residing in the temporary housing centers and the families who lost a breadwinner in al-Shadadi and Ras al-Ayn areas.

Since the beginning of the current week, 5000 food packages were delivered to Hasaka.
