Hama, SANA – Al-Zara power plant located in the southern countryside of Hama province went out of service after terrorists of Jabhat al-Nusra and Ahrar al-Sham targeted it with several rocket shells.
Operation Manager at the Plant Eng. Abdu al-Asaad told SANA that the terrorists targeted the Plant with rocket shells, leaving severe damage to generators, the conversion square and a number of technical equipment, which caused its breakdown.
He added that the technical workshops are working on repairing the breakdown as to be put back into service as soon as possible.
On 13th of the current month, the Plant was targeted by terrorists with rocket shells and then put back into service after more than eight- day halt where it began to feed the electrical grid with 66 megawatts.
