Damascus, SANA – Health Minister Nizar Yazigi affirmed on Tuesday that the Health Ministry’s establishments have taken all necessary measures to provide health services to citizens during Eid al-Fitr holiday, and that health centers are prepared to receive all cases.
In a statement to SANA, Yazigi pointed out that emergency departments in public hospitals are working around the clock to receive patients as well as health centers in the provinces.
The Minister pointed out that the health directorates implemented a system for medical personnel shifts in their hospitals and health centers, in addition to ensuring the availability of a sufficient stock of medicine and medical and supplies.
He called on the citizens to keep an eye on their children and keep them away from anything that may harm them during the holiday, indicating that eye injuries and burns are the most common cases that arrive at emergency departments during Eid al-Fitr holiday.
