Director General of the Russian official institution Dmitry Kiselev said at the opening ceremony that the US has tried, since September 2001, to monopolize for itself the right to lead the world according to what it draws, so, a number of states have been destroyed, like Iraq, and others eliminated like Libya, and the US wanted to repeat the scenario in Syria, but it failed.

SANA Director General Ahmad Dawa, for his part, said that the new media has helped create a remarkable change inside the press process and find competitors for journalists.

“During the terrorist war on Syria and the emergence of the new media that broadcast news and photos among the Syrian society’s circles, the Syrian journalists have faced big challenges to follow the huge quantity of news, videos and photos, but in the end, they exceeded this challenge and entered the war of offering the real information from its sources,” Dawa said.
