Iran, DPRK, Iraq, condemn terrorist bombings in Jableh and Tartous

Capitals, SANA – The Iranian Foreign Ministry strongly condemned the terrorist bombings which targeted the Syrian cities of Tartous and Jableh on Monday, expressing deep condolences to the Syrian government and people, particularly the families of the martyrs and the wounded.

Terrorists carried out a series of suicide bombings in the coastal Tartous and Jableh cities, claiming the lives of scores of civilians and leaving many more injured.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Hussein Jaber Ansari said in a statement on Wednesday that terrorism and extremism constitute a serious danger that threatens the nations of the region and the international peace and security.

This danger entails that the international community perform its duties and ethical and legal responsibilities to fully confront terrorism, he added.

DPRK: Terrorist bombings are part of plots to hinder Syria peaceful settlement

The attacks, which drew widespread international condemnations, were also condemned by the Foreign Ministry of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), which asserted that the terrorist bombings that hit Jableh and Tartous cities on Monday are the products of despicable plots of terrorists and forces backing those terrorists.

“We reiterate our full support and solidarity with the just struggle of the government and people of the Syrian Arab Republic to foil the hostile forces’ challenge and aggression moves and achieve security, stability and territorial integrity of the country”, the Korean Central News Agency quoted a spokesman for DPRK Foreign Ministry as saying in a statement on Tuesday.

The statement added that “These terror incidents are the products of despicable plots of terrorists and forces backing those terrorists to hinder the peaceful settlement of the crisis in Syria and create difficulties in the way of the struggle of the Syrian army and people to defend its sovereignty territorial integrity and security.”

The spokesman asserted the consistent stand of the DPRK government to oppose all forms of terrorism.

Iraq: Terrorist bombings prove the heinous and barbaric mentality of ISIS

Likewise, the Iraqi Foreign Ministry strongly condemned the terrorist bombings that took place in  Jableh and Tartous, asserting Iraq’s support for the Syrian people.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Ministry said that such terrorist bombings that take place in Syria or Iraq or other countries in the region prove the heinous and barbaric mentality of ISIS terrorists, and that these bombings affirm the need for more international coordination and cooperation to eliminate and uproot this terrorism.

On May 23rd, a series of synchronized terrorist bombings targeted a bus station, the Electricity Directorate, and the National Hospital in Jableh city, as well as a bus station and a residential neighborhood in Tartous city, killing and injuring scores of civilians.

Belarus: Concerted International Efforts to Put an End to Bloodshed in Syria Needed

The Foreign Ministry of Belarus condemned the terrorist bombings that hit Jableh and Tartous cities last Monday and claimed the lives of scores of civilians.

The Ministry issued a statement in which it condemned the terrorist attacks against civilians in the two cities and called for pressing ahead with the battle against the terrorists who know no morals or values.

The Ministry, which expressed sympathy with families of the martyrs and wished speedy recovery to the wounded, reiterated the need for concerted international efforts to put an end to the bloodshed in Syria and attain political settlement in the country which forms the frontline in  confrontation of terrorism.

Last Monday, a series of terrorist bombings targeted bus stations, an Electricity Directorate, hospitals and residential neighborhoods in the two coastal cities of Tartous and Jableh, leaving a trail of death in their wake.
