Damascus, SANA – Syria’s Grand Mufti Ahmad Badr-Eddin Hassoun stressed that the unity of the Syrian people is the target of the aggression waged on Syria by more than 100 states and thousands of misleading media outlets.
Meeting members of the Diplomatic Training course at the Foreign and Expatriates Ministry, Hassoun said that Syria, the cradle of heavenly religions, morale and civilizations, is facing the most barbaric attack launched by powers which aim at fragmenting the region into smaller cantons in order to maintain their domination over its states and deplete their capabilities.
He added that Syria is paying the cost for its national and pan-Arab stances which made the national sovereignty as a red line that no one should be allowed to cross and the Palestinian Cause as the real compass for the conflict in the region.
At the conclusion, Hassoun expressed confidence in Syria’s ability to achieve victory thanks to the national unity of its people.
