Damascus, SANA – Upon instructions from President Bashar al-Assad, Defense Minister Gen. Fahed Jassem al-Freij conducted a field visit to an army formation in the southern area on occasion of Martyrs’ Day.
Accompanied by officers from the General Command, al-Freij met the soldiers are relayed greetings from President al-Assad, with the Minister asserting that the achievements made by the Syrian Arab Army are the results of the soldiers’ sacrifices and heroic acts in the face of terrorism.
During the visit, al-Freij inspected the formation’s units and positions and their readiness to confront terrorists.
