Mothers gather outside ESCWA in Beirut protesting continued terrorist shelling of Kefraya and al-Fouaa

Beirut, SANA – A group of Syrian and Lebanese mothers gathered Tuesday outside the office of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for West Asia (ESCWA) in Beirut to protest the terrorists’ continuous shelling of the besieged Kefraya and al-Fouaa towns in northern Idleb.

The terrorist organizations positioned near the border between Hama and Idleb have been constantly attacking the towns’ locals with mortars and rocket shells, leaving civilian casualties in their wake.

Some eight children were killed or injured in the latest attack on Kefraya that took place Monday night.

The participants in the sit-in held posters and banners picturing terrorist crimes committed against children of both towns.

An outcry urging the international community to move to stop the terrorist attacks on the towns was made by a girl during the sit-in.

Kefraya and al-Fouaa, which are located some 10 km north of Idleb city, have been under siege for more than two years now by terrorist groups operated by the Turkish and Saudi regimes.
