Moscow, SANA, The main topics of discussion at the upcoming meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US Secretary of State John Kerry will likely be the situations in Syria and Ukraine, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Tuesday.
Russia and the US agreed on the cessation of hostilities agreement in Syria that came into effect on 27 February after the UN Security Council adopted it on 26 February under the Resolution 2268.
Kerry is due in Moscow Wednesday for a two- day visit to discuss with his Russian counterpart bilateral cooperation and urgent international issues including solving the crisis in Syria.
Indeed, a meeting between Kerry and Putin will take place and most likely the two ministers Sergey Lavrov and Kerry will brief President Putin on their latest contacts and outcomes and a broad range of issues will likely be addressed during
the talks, primarily Syria and Ukraine,” Peskov told reporters, Sputnik News agency reported.
Russia and Syria announced last week a decision to reduce Russian forces in Syria as after Russian Aeorspace forces have been since last September launching air strikes against ISIS, al-Nusra and other terrorist organizations affiliated to them upon request from the Syrian government.
