Damascus, SANA-Information Minister Omran al-Zoubi affirmed on Wednesday that Syria’s supportive stance towards the Palestinian people is firm until restoring the full rights and ending the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories and building their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
During his meeting with a delegation from the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) headed by member of the PLO Executive Committee Ahmad Majdalani, al-Zoubi said that Palestinian cause is the main cause of all the Syrians, adding that they will not abandon it despite of the war waged against their own country due to its national positions.
The minister noted that the Syrian Information Ministry welcomes any cooperation between the Syrian and Palestinian media outlets, expressing the ministry’s readiness to provide all facilitations to enhance this cooperation.
For his part, Majdalani reiterated the Palestinian leadership’s support for resolving the crisis in Syria politically in order to preserve its independence, unity and its role in the regional and international arenas.
