Washington, SANA- The Syrian American Forum “SAF” affirmed that fighting terrorism and stopping its funding are priorities for finding a political solution to the crisis in Syria, adding that solution must be a Syrian one.
SAF spokesperson Dr. Ghiath Moussa told SANA that during a tour of SAF members on a number of US politicians at the Senate and House of Representatives’ foreign relations committees, a written letter was delivered from the head of SAF, Nassr Al-Ani explaining the necessity of solving the Syrian crisis in Syria, which starts by eliminating terrorism, halting support of terrorists, cooperating with Syrian army, and supporting the principles of political solution adopted in Geneva and Vienna meetings that preserves Syria’s sovereignty.
He added that SAF criticized US escalating policy towards Syria which will cause more killing and destruction, stressing the necessity to stop politicizing the issue of Syrian migrants.
