Damascus, SANA-A citizen was killed on Wednesday and many others wounded in terrorist attacks with mortar shells on Harasta suburb, Police and al-Bairouni hospitals and al-Wafideen camp in Damascus countryside.
A police source told SANA that terrorists fired a mortar shell on Harasta suburb which fell near al-Mahdi mosque, killing a citizen and causing material damage to a private car.
The source added that three other shells fell in the surrounding of the Police and al-Bairouni hospitals, causing only material damages with no causalities.
Meanwhile, two shells fell on a shelter center and Musa’ab bin Omair mosque in al-Wafideen camp, wounding 7 persons, among them 5 children.
10 citizens injured in terrorist mortar attacks on Damascus
Earlier, 10 citizens were injured in terrorist mortar attacks on Bab Toma and Ish al-Warwar neighborhoods in Damascus.
A source at the Police Command said that one mortar shell landed in the area surrounding Bab Toma square in Old Damascus, injuring 10 citizens and causing material damage to 4 cars.
Massive material damage was caused to 2 houses in Ish al-Warwar neighborhood when 2 shells hit the neighborhood, the source added.
