4800 non-food packages distributed during current week in Hasaka

Hasaka, SANA- The Relief sub-committee in Hasaka in cooperation with Hasaka Social Affairs Department, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) distributed 4800 non-food packages during the current week to displaced families in Hasaka province.

Issam al-Hussein, the department’s director, told SANA that the aid includes utensils, blankets and mats.

“All displaced families from Ghweiran al-Sharqi, Ghweiran al-Gharbi, al-Laylia and al-Nashwa al-Sharqia neighborhoods had returned to their homes after the army restored security and stability to these neighborhoods, while the families of al-Nashwa al-Gharbia, al-Villat and al-Zohour neighborhoods are still living in temporary residential centers waiting for their neighborhoods to be safe again, ” al-Hussein said.
