Damascus, SANA – Syria strongly condemned the terrorist operations which had targeted the Algerian people and army recently, affirming its support for the Algerian government and leadership in confronting Takfiri terrorism.
An official source at the Foreign and Expatriates Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday that the Ministry strongly condemns those terrorist actions and reiterates its solidarity with the Algerian government and people.
The source said that Syria, which has been facing terrorism, extremism, and Takfiri mentality for years, offers the sincerest condolences to the people, government, and Foreign Ministry of Algeria and to the families of the victims, voicing confidence in Algeria’s inevitable victory over terrorism.
The source also noted that Syria had often warned that terrorism will spread in the region and the world and will threaten security, stability, and the entire human civilization.
The source concluded by saying that Syria has called for exerting honest, unified, and serious efforts to combat terrorism, dry up its sources and funding, confront the Takfiri mentality that fuels terrorism, and implement the Security Council’s counterterrorism resolutions.
