Homs, SANA – The Homs branch of the Women’s Union and the Social Affairs Directorate held on Saturday an Iftar banquet for orphans and children of martyrs.
During the banquet, Social Affairs Minister Kinda al-Shammat said that this gesture is the least one could do for the children of Homs who lost their parents to the war, and that these children are the hope for Syria’s future.
Participants in the event said that during times of crises, Syrians come together to help each other, and that the banquet is a heartfelt expression of love for Homs and its people, as well as being an expression of gratitude for the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the sake of Syria.
