Damascus, SANA – The Foreign and Expatriates Ministry said that syria, leadership and people, supports the statement issued by the government of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea on June 15th 2015 and the DPRK’s efforts to remove obstacles preventing the DPRK and South Korea from growing closer.
In a statement on Tuesday, the Ministry said that the 15th anniversary of signing the June 15th North–South Joint Declaration, which was signed in 2000 by the DPRK and South Korea, is a historical moment that can help put an end to tension and the threat of war, paving the way towards a dialogue that would overcome differences and improve relations among Koreans.
The Ministry said that the Syrian leadership agrees with the vision of the leadership and people of the DPRK regarding unifying the Korean nation.
