Cabinet discusses services issues, denounces recent terrorist attacks

Damascus, SANA – The Cabinet on Tuesday discussed a number of bills and services issues, including the situation in Aleppo which is being targeted by terrorist attacks, and the state of services in provinces.

The Cabinet denounced the terrorist attacks committed by terrorist groups, including the recent rocket attacks on residential areas in Aleppo which claimed scores of innocent lives on Monday.

Chairing the session, Prime Minister Wael al-Halaqi said that services sectors and emergency health services are at full readiness in all areas, particularly Aleppo.

He also stressed the need to overcome all difficulties hindering the implementation of the health insurance project, calling for coordinating and holding meetings with relevant sides to find the optimal methods to provide the best medical services possible.

In turn, Deputy Prime Minister for Services Affairs, Local Administration Minister Omar Ghalwanji, asserted that the services sectors, firefighting teams, civil defense, and emergency medical teams in Aleppo city are fully prepared to tackle any emergency around the clock.

For her part, Director of the International Planning and Cooperation Agency Rima al-Qadiri reviewed the results of her visit to Moscow, which resulted in signing a memo on cooperation in various fields, in addition to reviewing the results of her visit to Kazakhstan.

The Cabinet discussed a bill on exempting individuals with due municipal fees, construction infringement fines, rent and investment fees, payment installments for residential real-estate properties, and other fees and debts due to administrative units for 2014 and earlier years from fines and penalties if they pay the dues before the end of 2015.

The Ministers also discussed a bill on exempting industrialists and entrepreneurs in industrial cities whose licenses expired from renewal fees, and approved a memo on dispensing the wages of state employees summoned for military reserve services who failed to provide documents regarding their due wages until their status is settled.
