Damascus, SANA – Interior Minister Lt. Gen. Mohammad al-Shaar stressed the importance of raising citizens’ awareness to protect the new generation from being hijacked by misleading propaganda campaigns.
During his meeting with a delegation from the locals of Rukn-Eddin neighborhood in Damascus, the minister pointed out to the role of the neighborhood’s figures in strengthening national ties, refuting misleading media, enhancing national belonging and aborting the Zionist-American project that aims to break the region up.
What is happening in Syria and the region are attempts to divide it into feuding sectarian and ethnic entities and ignite wars and conflicts to justify the existence of the Zionist entity as a Jewish state, he added.
Al-Shaar listened to the demands of locals, affirming that the ministry is interested in meeting the needs of citizens.
