Authorities in Lattakia seize 2000 kg of narcotics

Lattakia, SANA- Competent authorities in Lattakia seized on Friday nearly 2000 kg of narcotics which were hidden in floated bags near the coast of al- Baseet area.

General Director of ports’ establishment in Lattakia, Maitham Ibrahim al-Yousef told SANA that a patrol for the establishment in al-Baseet area found leather bags floating on the water surface containing two tones of narcotics including 6 million Captagon pills weighing 1200 kg and 800 kg of hashish.

On March 25th, the authorities arrested two drug dealers in Damascus city, confiscating their 5 kg of Hashish.
