Damascus, SANA – The 15th of May marks the Nakba Day in which more than 800 thousand of Palestinians were forcibly displaced, by Zionists, from their original towns and cities into the West Bank and Gaza Strip, neighboring Arab countries, and other countries of the world.
Documentary evidence shows that the Zionist troupes confiscated 774 towns and villages and destroyed 531 Palestinian towns and villages during the Nakba. The atrocities of Israeli Zionists also included over 70 massacres in which 15 thousand Palestinians were killed.
On the 67th occasion of the Nakba Day, the National Leadership of Baath Arab Socialist Party (BASP) affirmed in a statement that Syria, undaunted by the internationally-devised terrorist war waged against it, will continue to support the Palestinian people until fully achieving their rights, on top, the Palestinian Right of Return.
The leadership stressed that any attempt to steer the direction of the struggle’s compass from the Palestinian cause is doomed to failure and “our people didn’t and won’t give up their legal rights, in the forefront the Right of Return”.
The statement denounced the failure of some Arab regimes to do their duty towards the Palestinian people.
In Turn, The Palestinian Regional Leadership of (BASP) stressed Palestinian people’s determination to hold their cause and legal rights and the need to enhance their steadfastness till foiling the Zionist project.
“Zionism and Wahhabism are two faces of one coin, where events bring to light the clear cooperation between the Zionist entity, Gulf States and Turkey that involved in the hegemony aggression on Syria by supporting terrorists organizations infinitely,” the leadership said in a statement.
For its part, the Palestinian Popular Struggle Front (PPSF) hold Wednesday a political symposium in Al Saeyda Zainab camp for Palestinian refugees in Damascus Suburb during which the participants discussed the events before and after the Nakba, the Right of Return and the war waged against Syria, particularly against Palestinian camps.
Representative of the (PPSF), Mwafaq al-Manfi clarified that the symposium came to remind the world of the military Zionist occupation for nearly 80 percent of the Palestinian territories and displacing thousands of Palestinians from their homes.
He highlighted that some media outlets and Arab and Palestinian political movements ignore what is happening in Palestine such as confiscating Palestinians’ lands, destroying their homes by the Israeli occupation forces and depriving them from the minimum necessities of life.
For his turn, Representative of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine Saleh al-Lafi said .. Zionist entity aims at obliterating the Right of Return for the whole Palestinian people through its clear support to the terrorist organizations in Syria which launched intensive assaults on the Palestinian camps and displaced their residents.
