Provinces, SANA-The Army pressed ahead with military operations against terrorists in several areas across the country, inflicting heavy losses on them and recapturing an important crossing in Qalamoun mountainous region where battles with terrorists are raging.
Damascus Countryside
An army unit established full control over al-Kherbeh crossing in Qalamoun Mountains, killing dozens of terrorists in the area and hunting down the remaining terrorists, as a military source announced.
Al-Kherbeh crossing is an important route that terrorists were using to infiltrate from Lebanon to join Jabhat al-Nusra and other terror organizations fighting in Qalamoun mountainous region.
This military win comes few hours after eliminating the latest terrorists’ gatherings in al-Me’israt camp, Kernet al-Mei’sra, Tallit al-Dorat and Akbit Um al-Rkab.
Army units clashed with terrorists of Jabhat al-Nusra and Jaish al-Islam on Monday morning, inflicting heavy losses upon terrorists in al-Zamania and Deir Salman villages in al-Nashabia area.
An Army unit launched accurate strikes against the so called Jaish al-Islam (Islam Army), Ajnad al-Sham and Failak al-Rahman (Al-Rahman Legion) on Tal Kurdi-al-Rihan axis northeast of Douma city.
Around 36 of their members were killed in the strikes, among them Ezz Eddin al-Said, Walid al-Omar, Mazen al-Nazzal, Fares al-Najjar and Mahmoud al-Duki.
Dozens of terrorists were confirmed dead during Army continuous operations in Qalamoun Mountains. Emad Diab, Nahel Ali Yazbek, Naser Taha, Mahmoud Salman, Emad Batouz, Mohamed al-Buraqi and Hussein al-Rifa’I were identified among those killed.
Homs
The army’s air force targeted gatherings for ISIS terrorists in Ber Hawaya, near the wells of Shaer in Homs countryside, killing a number of terrorists, inuring many others and destroying their equipment and cars.
Earlier, Units of the army and armed forces killed scores of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria ISIS terrorists and injured others, in addition to destroying one of their armored vehicles and killing all terrorists onboard in a special operation to the northwest of al-Sha’air oil field, a military source told SANA Monday.
The source added that scores of ISIS terrorists were killed and others were injured, and a number of their vehicles were destroyed some of which were equipped with various types of machineguns in a special operation carried out by an army unit against their dens in Rahoum village, 105 km to the east of Homs.
Units of the army and the armed forces also killed many of the ISIS terrorists and destroyed their arms and ammunition in the villages of al-Sultaniya, Talet al-Madarja, Slam Gharbi, Salam Sharqi, Rajm al-A’ali, northern al-Musheirfa and Khatamlou in the eastern countryside of the province.
Daraa
Army units killed several Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists and destroyed their vehicles in Kafar Shams and Zamrin villages in the countryside of Daraa province.
An Army unit eliminated members of an armed terrorist group and destroyed their weaponry and ammunition in al-Faqei’ town in the northern countryside of Daraa.
A number of terrorists were killed, others were injured and their ammunition and weapons were destroyed during Army accurate operations in al-Minshia area in Daraa al-Balad neighborhood.
Another Army unit carried out an intensive operation against Jabhat al-Nusra hideouts in the area surrounding the Camp’s school complex, killing several terrorists and destroying a vehicle with all ammo that was stacked inside it.
An army unit targeted terrorists’ gatherings in ak-Bayat and Daraa al-Balad, killing a number of terrorists and destroying a bulldozer.
