Damascus, SANA-The 8th scientific conference of Damascus doctors was inaugurated on Wednesday under the title “Together… towards Syria health” at Dama Rose Hotel in Damascus.
Health Minister Nizar Yazagi said in a speech at the opening ceremony that the conference is very important “to get acquainted with the up-to-date technologies and sciences in different specializations of medicine to reach the aspired-for goals.”
For his part, Syria’s grand Mufti, Sheikh Ahmad Badreddin Hassoun said Syria and the Syrians, who have conveyed the heavenly, peace and amity messages throughout history to the whole world, are encountering a war that targets the state’s institutions and tries to plant seeds of sedition among the Syrians who have proven their cohesion and struggle and offered martyrs to gain victory over terrorism.
The 4-day conference, which brings together doctors and experts from Arab and regional countries, holds discussions on different diseases and the up-to-date treatments and achievements in the world of medicine.
On the sidelines of the conference, exhibition of “Medical Health” was opened with the participation of 46 local and foreign companies specialized in medical equipment and medicinal industries.
