Moscow, SANA-Finding a swift political solution to the crisis in Syria was at the center of talks between the Russian President’s Special Representative for the Middle East and North Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov and Syria’s ambassador to Russia Dr. Riyad Haddad, the Russian Foreign Ministry announced.
The two sides exchanged views as regards the developments in Syria and the region with focus on the issue of accelerating the political settlement of the crisis in Syria.
Earlier in the day, the Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said in a speech that the Russian and Chinese vetoes at the UN Security Council gave a chance to a political settlement of the Syrian crisis.
