Damascus, SANA- Foreign and Expatriates Minister Bassam Sabbagh received Wednesday a phone call from Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Barrilla, with both sides discussing developments in northern Syria following the terrorist attack launched by the terrorist organization of “Tahrir al-Sham – Al-Nusra Front,” and its repercussions on the security and stability of Syria and the safety of its citizens.
Minister Sabbagh talked about the large-scale volume of the terrorist attack that was prepared in advance, in which a large number of foreign terrorist members participated, and which received external support provided by regional and international sides targeting the Syrian state and working to destabilize its security and stability, noting that this terrorist attack posed threat to the life and safety of civilians and caused difficult humanitarian conditions.
Sabbagh stressed the importance of supporting the efforts of the Syrian State in confronting terrorism and combating all its forms, and intensifying efforts to uncover all forms of external support that terrorist organizations in Syria receive in terms of military and logistical supply, and calling on the Security Council to fulfill its responsibilities in putting into effect its decisions related to combating terrorism. .
For his part, Minister Barilla expressed Cuba’s condemnation of the terrorist attack on some Syrian cities, and Cuba’s support and absolute solidarity with the Syrian government and people in confronting it.
