New York, SANA- UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres affirmed the UN solidarity with the Palestinian people and their inalienable rights to live in peace, security and dignity.
Speaking in a message on Friday marking the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, Guterres said that on this day every year, the international community stands in solidarity with the dignity of the Palestinian people, the justice of their cause, and their right to self-determination, but this year, however, commemoration is more painful because these fundamental goals are more distant than ever before.
He added that Gaza Strip has reached a stage of devastation in light of the worsening humanitarian crisis, which is horrific and cannot be justified ,and underscored the need to an immediate humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza.
