Damascus, SANA- Foreign and Expatriates Minister Bassam Sabbagh discussed in a phone call on Friday with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi latest developments in the region, especially terrorist attack by Jabhat al-Nusra on Aleppo province and its countryside in northern Syria.
Sabbagh said that this terrorist attack serves the goals of the Israeli entity’s project and its sponsors in the region.
He said that Damascus has always warned of the blatant coincidence between the Israeli entity’s aggression on Syria and the attacks launched by these terrorist groups , stressing that Syria’s people and army will continue to repel these terrorist attacks will all determination.
Araghchi, for his part, affirmed that reactivation of terrorists in Syria is an American-Zionist project.
He reiterated Iran’s support for the Syrian government, its people, and the army in their fight against terrorism, emphasizing the importance of safeguarding regional security and stability.
