New York, SANA – United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) warned that lives of 75,000 Palestinians still in northern Gaza Strip are in danger, as a result of the Israeli occupation preventing the entry of aid.
“It is estimated that between 65,000 and 75,000 people remain in the besieged northern Gaza Strip, and for more than 50 days they have been facing deteriorating conditions for survival,” WAFA Agency cited UNRWA as saying in a statement on the X platform, noting that Jabalia, Beit Lahia and Beit Hanoun areas have been largely cut off from humanitarian aid for weeks.
The Agency pointed out that thousands of families who fled the besieged areas in northern Gaza are now sheltering in the cold and rain without blankets, mattresses and waterproof shelters.”
UNRWA said it attempted 91 times to deliver life-saving humanitarian aid to Jabalia, Beit Lahia and Beit Sahour in northern Gaza from Oct. 6 to Nov. 25, and 82 of these attempts were unequivocally denied, while nine of them were impeded.
