Moscow, SANA- Russian forces targeted a military site of Ukrainian forces in Chernihiv region and eliminated number of mercenaries, the coordinator of covert action in Nikolaev region ,Sergei Lebedev, said .
The strike was carried out on a position of personnel of the Ukrainian Armed forces in Nizhyn city and among the dead were up to ten foreign mercenaries, Lebedev added in an exclusive interview with Russian news agency Sputnik.
Lebedev pointed that members of the mercenaries were stationed in their position because they were preparing for an attack but all of them were eliminated and the sound of explosions was heard throughout Nizhyn city .
The Russian special military operation, which began on February 24, 2022, has entered its third year, and aims to protect the residents of Donbas who had been persecuted and genocided by the Kyiv regime for years.
