With participation of more than 60 companies, “SyrPetro” 2024 kicks off

Damascus, SANA- With the participation of more than 60 local, Arab and foreign companies specialized in oil industries, exploration operations, studies and consultations, the activities of the fifth Syrian International Petroleum and Mineral Resources Exhibition, SyrPetro 2024, kicked off on Sunday at Damascus Fairgrounds.

The exhibition which was organized by Mashhadani International Group for Exhibitions and Conferences in cooperation with Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, aims to bring together exploration, production, petroleum services and mineral wealth companies, as well as research and academic institutions, specialists and experts in the oil industry sector at the local, regional and international levels, and enable them to exchange experiences and ideas in this sector.

Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Dr. Firas Qaddour stressed during a press conference the importance of the exhibition in providing an ideal opportunity to exchange expertise, experiences and ideas between various parties concerned with the oil sector in Syria and participants from outside it.

The Ministry pays great attention to developing this vital sector by improving efficiency and productivity in the fields of oil, gas and mineral resources, in addition to the great interest in vocational and technical education to ensure the development of national competencies and enable them to contribute effectively to the process of economic development, Qaddour noted.

The exhibition was attended by a number of ambassadors, representatives of diplomatic missions in Syria, the Director of General Establishment for Exhibitions and International Markets, and a number of experts, businessmen and specialists in this field.

It is noteworthy, the exhibition will continue until July 10.
