Moscow,SANA- UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres said that he was not fully pleased with the results of his work and the work of the United Nations and the international organization he heads is no longer the center due to the problems and the situation that became more complicated underling the capacity of regional organizations is essential to resolve issues.
“We must do much better work to bring peace ,which is disappeared on the earth because of the geopolitical disputes and balance of powers that are not as clear as they were in the past noting that favorable economic and social conditions must be created in the field of human rights” Guterres added in an exclusive interview with the Russian News Agency TASS.
Speaking about reforming the UN Security Council, Guterres pointed out the need to provide at least one permanent seat for Africa in this Council, and the need for more developing countries to be in it, pointing out that the Soviet Union in the past, as well as Russia today, were extremely necessary for the formation of the United Nations and are considered among the basic components of the organization’s work.
