Funeral processions start of martyr Raisi and his companions in Birjand city

Tehran, SANA- After a massive funeral in Birjand city, the body of martyr President Raisi was being moved to Mashhad city to be buried there.

The funeral ceremony of the martyr Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and his companions has started this morning in Birjand city, the center of South Khorasan Province, eastern Iran, in the presence of regional and international delegations.

Massive crowds of Iranians thronged the streets and squares of the capital to participate in the funeral ceremony.

Yesterday, the funeral ceremony of the martyr Raisi and his companions was held in Tehran, and he will be buried this evening in Mashhad.

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian, and their companions were martyred last Sunday after the helicopter they were traveling in crashed in the Varzakan region of East Azerbaijan province.
